what is going to happen at evening. Few people will be out of homes for their works or jobs. Many will be here. There is a fear in the minds of people here. Last time storm named Gayan hit this area powerfully. What the hell this okhi storm is going to do, is a question on everybody's mind here. Let us see what happens as it happens.... The following news in the local news paper says that the water has come in yards of people after crossing the protection wall !
No harm yet !
As expected, okhi has not done much havoc still. It is Monday evening now. The sound of sea tides is increased. Sea level has already increased. The sea water came into the yards of the houses near the sea shore. But, fortunately the people are safe. What will happen as night progresses will have to see. The sea is becoming dangerous. Luckily there is no rain or their are no winds blowing at this hour. Before few hours, there were winds blowing. Luckily they didn't grow ! I am 200 feet away from the sea and can clearly listen the sound of tides ! We have sea water running around our three sides. If sea water level increases, the sea will surround us fully ! Anything can happen this night ! Everybody is praying to improve the situation ! The situation is still hammering ! Let me see what is waiting ahead for Jakimirya and the Mirya as a whole ! I will keep on reporting.
The Government Announcements :
The Maharashtra Government has declared holiday tomorrow for the school S in our konkan region considering the okhi storm gathering momentum ! Tomorrow the rain is expected ! The weather conditions may change considerably . There is high alert everywhere ! This is 10 ' O clock and we are heading towards midnight ! Government people in a rikshaw are announcing loudly to be cautious as the climate is becoming dangerous as the night progresses. Nobody has slept yesterday night and nobody here will slip tonight ! We can't slip as the danger is increasing ! The sea water may come in and there will be high tides ! It's horrible ! God may save us !
It is 03 am Tuesday now. . The rain has started . It is not heavy, but may grow intensity. ..... One more hour has passed. Slow raining. ... Still raining but some wind is there now , this is 05.30 am. here. ... At six o.'clock , the rain has stopped but the winds are there..... At 7 O'clock, once again the rain started with the stronger winds..

That was last night captured by Amol Patil at Jakimirya and Vijayji Shivalkar, an eminent personality, at Mandavi sea shore, a km away from Jakimirya !
Since today (05th Dec, , 2017 ) morning there was slightly raining with winds. The weather was cloudy upto afternoon. In the afternoon, there was sunshine during sometime . Later on as the evening came near it became once again cloudy. It is 06.07 O'clock now. There is no rain and now the winds have stopped for a while. As the night will come this may change a bit. Perhaps we may be out of danger of okhi. The only danger is increasing sea water level ! Let us see what happens tonight ....pl be in touch with me via my blog Jakimirya ! Around nine o clock the intensity of the blowing winds increased . Since then it is up and down and up again . Mirya is still not out of danger . There are sea tides , the noise , winds . Unless it all stops , we will not be safe .
There were showers last night and even today's morning. It is 06 Dec. 2017's morning here. Through out the day everything remained silent, but now at 10 pm in the night, the sound of the sea tides is once again coming ! Let's see what happens tonight and tomorrow as the next storm is expected from Marathwada region as declaired in the news !
