Here are some photos of the public outrest for 40 years old problem sea entering into human land . Now the people of Mirya village has decided it now or never !
People gathered in Alawa and walked towards the Jai Stambh , in front of the Office of the District Collector where the agitation was to be held . They did it very successfully . Hats off to all mirya public and its leaders !
Now, in this 2020 year, the matter has worsened and public outbreak will be more as the conditions are becoming more tricky. Afterall it is a question of life and death, as the latest news is :
Hole in Mirya bandhara, life in danger .
Mirya bandhara is an old illness of about fifty plus years . The single road entry from the Ratnagiri city end to the village Mirya is in danger as the two ends of sea can meet and there will be sea water everywhere. The life of the people living very near to the sea is totally in danger. The sea water in the south direction is encroaching in the village land day by day and year by year. There is a fear in the minds of the people living particularly in the sea level area of Jakimirya - Bhatimirya , even all Mirya, for such a long periods of five decades. Expections of people
Many efforts had already been done to stop the sea water, but in each rainy season, the water hits the bandhara and moves in. Now the sea has become more aggressive and in the windi weather, roars in a high volume sound. It is further increasing the fear in the minds of local people. They are fed up now and expecting something solid to be done with the help of the new technology.

As reported in the news paper, the conditions of Mirya bandhara is worsening day by day in this rainy season. People are living under pressur and very very worried.
